ANKARA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat and Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas left Ankara for Istanbul on Sunday.
Prior to his departure at Ankara's Esenboga Airport, Talat told the A.A correspondent that they held meetings on Cyprus issue in Ankara.
Talat said that they would continue to carry out their work to reach a conclusion on the path of solution to Cyprus issue.
Meanwhile, sources said that TRNC President Denktas' views on what kind of changes he wanted in the Annan plan were taken in his meetings in Ankara on Sunday, and stated that the sides reached consensus that they would focus on those issues in the process of mutual dialogue.
Diplomatic sources underlined that there was not any disagreement on Cyprus issue between Turkey and TRNC, and stated that it was stressed that Turkish side would follow solution process with good intention during Denktas' meetings.
Noting that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to the United States was of great importance in regard to the Cyprus issue, sources said that they expected new developments in solution process after his visit. Sources added that the situation would become more definite after this visit.
TRNC President Denktas is expected to have a meeting with Chief of General Staff Gen. Hilmi Ozkok on Monday.
