TBILISI/ANKARA - State Minister Besir Atalay met on Sunday with Mikhail Saakashvili, who was elected new president of Georgia.
Following the meeting, Atalay said that Turkey was ready to do its utmost in protection of territorial integrity in Georgia.
Atalay said that Saakashvili and he took up improvement of political and economic relations between the two countries in the meeting, and stated that there was cooperation in many fields including security between Turkey and Georgia.
Later, Atalay who completed his meetings in Georgia returned to Turkey.
