ANKARA - Turkish Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM) has launched a process for the procurement of new faster patrol boats for the safety of naval bases and ports.
A contract was signed between SSM and Yonca-Onuk joint venture regarding two fast patrol boats to be build in Turkish shipyards.
22 meter-long new patrol boats, to be build in 15 months, will serve for early warning, reconnaissance, surveillance and intelligence activities of Turkish Naval Forces.
