Prof. Dr. Aslanapa Presented With Meritorious Service Medal By Ministry Of Foreign Affairs

ANKARA - Prof. Dr. Oktay Aslanapa, a prominent Turkish scholar and Islamic art historian, has been presented with the meritorious service medal by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his outstanding contributions to the promotion of Turkish art and architecture abroad.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said that they attached great importance to promotion of Turkey abroad in the areas of art, science and culture.
"This year, we decorated Prof. Dr. Aslanapa with the meritorious service medal by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his outstanding contributions to the promotion of Turkish art and architecture abroad. Prof. Dr. Aslanapa is a symbol in Turkish science world with his achievements," Gul added.
