Russian Ambassador Visits Istanbul Governor And Mayor

ISTANBUL - Russian Ambassador to Turkey Vladimir Ivanovsky paid courtesy visits to Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler as well as Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Kadir Topbas on Friday.
Topbas expressed pleasure over developing relations between Turkey and Russia.
On the other hand, Ambassador Ivanovsky expressed belief that Istanbul will further develop, adding that the World Mayors` Summit which will be held in Istanbul in April is very important.
Noting that Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will successfully host the summit, Ivanovsky said that Moscow and Istanbul as well as Moscow and Ankara will always be sister cities.
