ANKARA - State Minister Besir Atalay will represent Turkey during tomorrow's oath-taking ceremony of Mikhail Saakashvili, who was elected the new President of Georgia.
Releasing a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of State said that Atalay would partake in the official luncheon following the oath-taking ceremony, and return to Turkey later in the same day.
Stressing that Turkey was among the countries making contributions to protection of Georgia's territorial integrity and welfare of its people, the statement said that Turkey would continue to maintain its support to Georgia in this new period.
Besides Turkey, the United States, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia and Ukraine were officially invited to the oath-taking ceremony of Saakashvili.
