MUGLA - Security forces have intercepted three foreigners in Bodrum town of western province of Mugla as they were trying to proceed to Greece illegally.
Mugla Governor Huseyin Aksoy told the A.A correspondent on Saturday that security forces acting on a tip-off, raided a pension in Bodrum and captured Iranian citizens Ghonamreza Nasiri, 32, Behrouz Parcam Parcini, 26, and Jousef Azici, 26, who had been trying to proceed to Kos island of Greece.
''The Iranians were taken into custody. During the interrogation, they said that they had entered Turkey legally from Gurbulak Border Gate in eastern province of Agri on January 17, 2004. They came to Istanbul and agreed with a person to take them to Kos island of Greece in return for 700 U.S. dollars each. They will be deported once the legal proceedings are completed,'' he added.
