2nd International Golden 40 Awards

-A.A WINS "NEWS AGENCY OF THE YEAR" AWARD

ANKARA - The Anadolu Agency (A.A) won "News Agency of the Year" award in the 2nd International Golden 40 Awards which was presented by Great Anatolian Association (BAB).
BAB made a joint evaluation with associations and foundations of 81 cities of Turkey as well as Turkish Republics to select "the best" of 2006 in 40 categories, and A.A won "News Agency of the Year" award.
A.A Executive Board President & Director General Hilmi Bengi, TRT Deputy DG Ali Guney, True Path Party (DYP) deputy leader Saffet Arikan Beduk, Polish Ambassador in Ankara Grzegorz Michalski and Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Melih Gokcek attended the award ceremony.
A.A DG Bengi who received the award said that A.A will celebrate its 87th anniversary tomorrow, and it is honorable to be selected as the news agency of the year in such a date.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan won "Statesman of the Year" award, and Polish Ambassador Michalski received "Ambassador of the Year" award.
