Third Turkish - Arab Economy Forum To Be Held In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - The Third Turkish-Arab Economy Forum (TAF07) will take place in Istanbul between June 15th and 16th.
Releasing a written statement on Thursday, Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group (AIWA) said, "building on the resounding success of the First and Second forums in 2005 and 2006, TAF07 will once again prove to be a major regional business and economic event."
"Organized by Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group in association with the Council of Arab League and the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), TAF07 is expected to attract a selected group of speakers from Turkey and the Arab world, and wide interest and participation from the Turkish, Arab and international business and investment communities," it said.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa are expected to make opening remarks of the forum.
A number of ministers from Turkey and several other countries will be in attendance.
The forum will underline Turkey's growing strategic stature as a strong military power and a force for moderation in region.
Meanwhile, Turkish-Arab Economy Forum Coordinator Murat Efe said that 8 sessions would be held during the two-day forum on improvement of commercial relations between Turkey and Arab countries, investment and cooperation opportunities.
The forum will also enable Turkish businessmen to hold bilateral talks with their Arab counterparts.
