Tuzmen: We Will Boost Commercial Relations Among D-8

ANKARA - "We will boost commercial relations among D-8 (developing 8 countries)," Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Thursday.
Tuzmen had a meeting with D-8 General Secretary Dipo Alam, who is currently in Ankara for talks.
Noting that trade volume among D-8 countries amounted to nearly 11 billion USD, Tuzmen underlined, "we should first work to increase this figure to 15 billion USD."
D-8 is a group of developing countries that have formed an economic development alliance. It consists of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey. The group was established upon a decision taken in Istanbul, Turkey on June 15th, 1997.
