ADILCEVAZ - Seher Bulut, who was nominated to the Guinness World Book of Records for the title of "the living oldest woman in the world", passed away at the age of 123.
Bulut, who was born in Ahlat town of the eastern city of Bitlis in 1884, had more than 250 grandchildren.
She was laid to rest in Adilcevaz town of the northwestern city of Bursa where she was living together with her son and grandchildren.
In 2006, Prof. Dr. Orhan Kural, representative of the Guinness in Turkey, applied to the Guinness World Book of Records to inscribe her name on the book.
Although necessary documents such as ID card, articles about her and her marriage license was sent to the Guinness, they could not get a result yet.
