In Siirt Drinking Water To Be Priced Based On Euro

SIIRT - Siirt City Assembly decided to calculate drinking water rates based on Euro from now on.
The Municipality of Siirt received a credit of 21m Euro from the German Investment Bank for its infrastructure project.
Siirt Mayor Mervan Gul indicated that residents will pay 0.75 Euro per ton of water consumed in their household this year. The rate per ton will be 1 Euro in 2008.
"Our infrastructure is in a terrible shape. We will begin working on an infrastructure project in the upcoming days. We made our calculations after receiving a credit from the German Investment Bank. Based on our calculations, we decided to collect water dues according to Euro rate," told Gul.
