ANKARA - Foreign Trade Undersecretary Tuncer Kayalar has been paying an official visit to Senegal.
Releasing a statement on Thursday, the Foreign Trade Undersecretariat said that existing commercial and economic relations between Turkey and Senegal would be scrutinized during Kayalar's meetings with Senegalese officials.
Issues such as measures to further improve bilateral trade, and co-operation opportunities in agriculture, industry, energy, transportation, communication, construction, education, culture and tourism will also be taken up during the meetings.
Kayalar is scheduled to meet with Senegalese Prime Minister Idrissa Seck, and ministers of infrastructure, public works, transportation and trade.

The trade volume between Turkey and Senegal, which was 10 million U.S. dollars in 2000, is expected to rise up to 25 million U.S. dollars in 2003.
