ISTANBUL - Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV) celebrated the 35th anniversary of its foundation with a concert by the 15-year-old Swedish pianist Teo Ghergiu and an exclusive feature of the film, "Vitus".
Before the film feature at the Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall, the Swedish pianist played pieces from Bach, Beethoven and Chopin.
Nominated for this year`s Oscar, "Vitus" tells the story of a deaf piano player whose only wish is to fly. The film was viewed by many guests including IKSV Chairman Sakir Eczacibasi.
The ceremony was held to celebrate the 35th anniversaries of both IKSV and the Istanbul Music Festival.
