ANKARA - Kuwaiti Prime Minister Nasir Al-Muhammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah said Wednesday that they would welcome a cooperation with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and stated that TRNC would open a trade office in Kuwait.
At a joint press conference after his meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, Al-Sabah said, "as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, we are ready to collaborate with Turkey in all fields."
Al-Sabah indicated that political stances of Turkey and Kuwait are parallel to each other concerning regional and international issues.
Stressing that he demanded Turkey`s support regarding a cooperation on air transportation between Turkey and Gulf countries, Al-Sabah said relevant institutions of the two countries would continue discussions on this matter.
Al-Sabah also urged Gulf countries to invest in Turkey.
Asked whether or not they would invest in TRNC as well, Al-Sabah said, "as all GCC-member countries, we welcome cooperation with TRNC. As Mr. Erdogan pointed out, TRNC will open a trade office in Kuwait."
Al-Sabah said they hope to see all Turkish products in all Gulf markets in the near future.
