DAVOS - State Minister Ali Babacan said on Wednesday that International Monetary Fund (IMF) and they reached consensus on the deduction which would be made from budget expenditures.
Babacan came to Davos town of Switzerland on Wednesday to attend meetings of the World Economic Forum.
Before his arrival at Davos, Babacan replied to questions of reporters on board.
Upon a question, Babacan said that meetings with IMF continued as they were planned.
Asked whether or not meetings on the seventh review would get longer or not, Babacan said, ''there will always be these comments. Review studies are comprehensive ones. Both IMF and we don't set a date on how long they will last and when they will end. Course of studies will show it.''
Stating that they would make 2004 year program with the IMF during meetings in February, he said that detailed meetings would be held in February.
Upon a question on 8.5 billion U.S. dollars of loan which would come from the United States, Babacan said, ''we will use the loan, when it suits our purpose.'' Babacan added that they could use legally the loan by September 2005.
He recalled that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan would come together with administrators, executive board chairmen and CEOs of leading companies of the world in a luncheon in Davos.
Stating that foreign capital's interest in Turkey started to increase again in 2003, Babacan said that draft law on setting up Direct Investment Agency was submitted to the Prime Ministry. He added that this law would be adopted.
