ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin received World Bank Turkey Director Andrew Vorkink and accompanying delegation on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sahin said that Turkish people needed reconstruction of public sector and they had been doing it as it was a requirement of today's world and their efforts would be a very important contribution to the European Union (EU).
Noting that World Bank officials had recommended formation of a 'National Youth Council', Sahin said that they had agreed to hold a monitoring meeting on sports activities, unemployment and health of young people.
Stating that the World Bank would extend financial assistance to several projects, Sahin said that local projects would be developed and the World Bank would support them financially.
Meanwhile, Andrew Vorkink said that they would extend every financial assistance to each youth project in Turkey.
He said they could extend assistance up to 25 million U.S. dollars to support youth projects in Turkey.
