ISTANBUL - "Turkish daily Hurriyet has purchased 67.3 percent of Trader Media East's (TME) shares at the London Stock Exchange," said Vuslat Dogan Sabanci, Chief of the Hurriyet Executive Committee, on Monday.
Hurriyet paid a sum of USD 336.5 million for TME.
TME is active in the markets of EU members Poland, Hungary and Lithuania, and Russia, Ukraine, Croatia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
TME is a leader on online and print in classified advertising. TME was founded in November 2005 and today employs more than 4,700 people in Central and Eastern European countries. The company produces 178 publications and hosts 14 websites, with more than 4.2 million unique monthly visitors.
