Northern Cyprus Summit Of Parliamentarians Of Turkish Descent In Europe Ends

LEFKOSA - The "Northern Cyprus Summit of Turkish Parliamentarians of Turkish Descent in Europe" held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) under auspices of the TRNC Presidency and Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce ended today.
The two-day summit ended after a coordination meeting of parliamentarians in Girne.
In their final statement, parliamentarians called on the European Union (EU), particularly Germany which currently holds the rotating EU presidency to "keep all promises made to Turkish Cypriots, end isolation, adopt Direct Trade Regulations, recognize Turkish as one of official languages of EU and allow international direct flights to Ercan Airport in the TRNC."
