ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that direct foreign investments in Turkey reached more than 10 billion USD in the first quarter of 2007, and predicted it would exceed 20 billion USD soon.
"Secure and the stable environment allowed for historic jumps in terms of figures in Turkey," Erdogan said in a televised address to the nation.
"Foreign investments exceeded 10 billion USD as of March which shows that Turkey has become a promising economy for not only domestic investors but also for international ones who trust economy's stability and resilience," Erdogan added.
