FIRST TITLE DEED TO RUSSIANS
A Russian citizen got a real estate from Turkey and had a title deed. Chechen origin Russian citizen Muslim Tovbulatov bought two apartments in Konyaalti Street in southern Antalya province. Each of the apartments was worth of 150 thousand Euro.
Russian people were not given title deeds so far because of the obstacles in laws. Deed Office excluded Russia from list of those who could not get property.
Chairman of Chamber of Industry and Trade said, ''Russians consider Antalya as their second country. There are 100 thousand apartments to be sold.''

ETHNICAL STATE TO CAUSE BLOODSHED
Deputy Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug said, ''there will be bloodshed if a political structure is based on federative structure in Iraq. We support NATO's taking assignment in Iraq. Thus, Turkey will undertake assignment.''
Gen. Basbug's second important message was about use of Incirlik base. Gen. Basbug said, ''according to our point of view, use of the Incirlik Air Base for the purpose of rotation of U.S. soldiers in Iraq is convenient for Turkey's national interests.''

''ETHNIC FEDERATION WILL BE VERY BLOODY''
Deputy Chief of General Staff Ilker Basbug, who briefed journalists on many issues, said, ''a federation based on ethnics in Iraq will be very bloody. We are supporting a federation based on geographical structure. The United States thinks the same.'' Basbug noted that Turkish Armed Forces hoped that Cyprus issue would be solved till May 2004.''

F-16 CRASHES, PILOT MISSING
After the Phantom which crashed in Aegean Manisa province five days ago, a F-16 war plane also crashed in Aegean Kutahya province yesterday. It is not certain whether or not pilot Mehmet Karakuzulu jumped out of the plane while search and rescue teams could not find any trace.

HE SHARES WITH CHILDREN
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told children what he could not tell adults: ''I have changed. Both religion and democracy are means. Gurtuna is not wanted in our organization.'' Erdogan replied to questions of students aged between 10 and 15 in a program broadcast on private atv channel. Asked if Gurtuna would be a candidate for Istanbul Mayor's Office in local election, Erdogan said, ''unfortunately, Istanbul branch of our party and the Central Execution and Decision Board (MYK) are having difficulties in Gurtuna's candidacy.''

INCIRLIK O.K., REPROACH TO UNITED STATES
Deputy Chief of General Staff Basbug said, ''there is not any need for a new permission for use of Incirlik Base in southern Adana province by rotation. There is not a full compromise between Turkey and the United States on the terrorist organization PKK.''

ROTATION INCREASES
U.S. soldiers in Iraq have started to return to their country. The return started from the 101st Air Division responsible for Mosul and its vicinity. Changes have been made in Incirlik Base in southern Adana province so that the base can serve two thousand soldiers.

PRODI: TURKEY ON RIGHT ROAD
European Commission President Romano Prodi, who held a press conference in Istanbul, said that Turkey was walking quickly on the right road to meet Copenhagen criteria. Prodi stated that the Commission was very pleased with Turkey's progress. Recalling that the Commission would prepare a report nine months later to make recommendations, Prodi emphasized that recommendations would be related with only Copenhagen criteria.

SUPPORT CALLED FROM PRODI FOR NEGOTIATIONS
EU Commission President Romano Prodi attended a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his honor. Prodi praised the government saying, ''we are aware that Turkey struggles very hard. Your speed made us amazed.''
Prodi said Turgut Ozal and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan were the leaders who made the biggest contribution after Ataturk, the Founder of Modern Turkish Republic. Erdogan wanted the commission to contribute to the political decision that would be given in December 2004.

MILITARY SAYS ''SOLUTION''
Deputy Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug called for a solution to be found on Cyprus till May 2004. Gen. Basbug said, ''studies continue with foreign ministry. There is no difference of opinion.''

TRAINING FLIGHT ENDS IN ACCIDENT
One of the four F-16C planes, which took off from Balikesir 9th Main Jet Base, crashed. No news could be obtained from the pilot of the plane first lieutenant Mehmet Karakuzulu.

ANKARA UNDERSTANDS
Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) representative Barham Saleh, who said that ''Kurdistan would be founded'', said that they were not in favor of a federal state based on ethnic origin after his meetings in Ankara. Saleh said that people would decide about situation of Kirkuk.

IT IS FOR OUR BENEFIT TO OPEN INCIRLIK BASE
Deputy Chief of General Staff Ilker Basbug said that opening Incirlik Base for use of the United States was suitable for national interests of Turkey. Asked if ''Turkey wanted to prevent a Kurdish state by opening the base'', Basbug said, ''you are in fact giving the answer.''

PAPANDREOU TO LISTEN TO PROBLEMS OF TURKISH MINORITY
Greek Foreign Minister and candidate leader of PASOK George Papandreou will listen to problems of people in Western Thrace where he will go on an election tour at the weekend.

TOBB: ''WE ARE SUPPORTING PUBLIC REFORM''
Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) stated that public reform bill, which was adopted at parliamentary commissions despite incidents caused by deputies of Republican People's Party (CHP), would change bureaucratic understanding. TOBB Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu defined bureaucracy as the biggest obstacle before investments and said that the draft would completely change the understanding in Turkey and pave the way for Turkey.
