ISTANBUL - A group of students protested on Friday European Union (EU) Commission President Romano Prodi at Bogazici University in Istanbul where he would deliver a speech.
Students protested Prodi and EU by chanting slogans at southern campus of the university where Prodi would deliver a speech at a conference.
Officials said the group members were supporters of Communist Party of Turkey and chanted slogan saying the EU was an imperialist order.
The protest of students is still continuing although Prodi has entered to the conference hall.
Security forces are on alert at university.
