ANKARA - Parliament Speaker Bulent Arýnc will go to Austria as the official guest of Austrian Parliament Speaker Andreas Khol on January 19.
Arinc, who will be accompanied by some deputies during his visit, will get a briefing at Turkish Embassy in Vienna when he arrives in Austria. Arinc will later attend a meeting in which he will come together with local politicians, businessmen, tourism representatives, trade union representatives, artists and students of Turkish origin.
Arinc will meet with Austrian Parliament Speaker Khol on January 20. After that, a meeting in which Arinc, Kohl, the accompanying parliamentary delegation and members of Austria-Turkey Interparliamentary Friendship Group members will participate will take place. Later Arinc and Kohl will hold a joint news conference.
After the lunch to be hosted by Khol in the honour of the Turkish delegation, Arinc will separately meet with Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schussel and deputy parliament speaker Heinz Fischer. Arinc will also meet with Austrian Foreign Policy Commission Chairman and COE Parliamentary Assembly President Peter Schiedr, commission members and Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero Waldner.
Arinc will be received by Austrian President Thomas Klestil on January 21. Arinc who will also have meetings with some Austrian journalists, will leave Austria for Turkey on January 22.
