Foreign Trade Undersecretary Kayalar Due To Senegal And Gambia

ANKARA - Foreign Trade Undersecretary Tuncer Kayalar will go to Senegal and The Gambia next week.
Sources told A.A correspondent on Friday that Kayalar would start his tour covering Senegal and The Gambia with an accompanying technical delegation on Sunday.
Kayalar will evaluate market and business opportunities in two countries.
Foreign Trade Undersecretary Kayalar is expected to meet with government officials and business circles during his visit to these two countries.
Kayalar is expected to return to Turkey on January 24.
Turkey signed commercial and economic cooperation with The Gambia in 1988 and Senegal in 1992.
However, joint economic commissions aiming at putting into practice these agreements have not convened yet.
Foreign Trade Undersecretariat is paying visits to Africa to estimate trade potential. The Undersecretariat had organized tours to Sudan, Ethiopia, Dijibouti, Cameroon, Tanzania and Angola last year.
Officials said that those countries had significant trade potential, adding that it was possible to increase trade volume with those countries by two or three folds in a short time.
