ANKARA - State Minister Ali Babacan met on Thursday night with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Turkey Desk Chief Reza Moghadam.
Sources said on Friday that Babacan, Treasury Undersecretary Ibrahim Canakci and other economy bureaucrats had a meeting with IMF delegation headed by Moghadam.
The sources noted that following that meeting, Babacan held a tete-a-tete meeting with Moghadam.
Babacan and Moghadam took up Moghadam's meetings as part of the seventh review and his first impressions from his meetings.
IMF delegation also visited Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Treasury Undersecretariat and Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) on Thursday.
Moghadam and accompanying delegation are expected to meet with officials of the Treasury and State Planning Organization (DPT) on Friday.
