Turkish Parliament Speaker Arinc In Italy

FLORENCE - Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc, who is currently in Florence, Italy for the 50th anniversary celebrations of Treaty of Rome, met President of the European Parliament Hans Gert Poettering.
Arinc said he expects Poettering to visit Turkey, said sources. "I would like to come to Turkey as soon as possible," Poettering replied, the same sources said.
Arinc will take part in a seminar at the European University Institute tomorrow and proceed to Rome in the evening.
Arinc is scheduled to meet Franco Marini, President of the Italian Senate, late on Thursday.
