ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul returned from Macedonia to Turkey late on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters at Ankara`s Esenboga Airport, Gul said upon a question regarding the establishment of national unity government in Palestine that Turkey hopes the world to support Palestinian government and establish relations and give a chance to the new government.
Noting that Turkey supports the government which was established by elected representatives of Palestine, Gul said that Turkey hopes the new government will have contributions to peace process and Palestinian cause.
He added that Palestine has been passing through a critical period, and clashes will have no good for anybody.
Regarding his meetings in Skopje, Gul said that Turkey attaches importance to Balkans.
Recalling that when Macedonia announced its independence Turkey recognized this country, Gul said that political, economic and defense relations between Turkey and Macedonia are perfect.
Gul said that he attended Turkey-Macedonia Business Council meeting in Skopje, adding that Macedonia can be an important country for Turkish investors.
Gul said that Turkish community in Macedonia is the third biggest ethnical group in that country. He added that Turkish language is started to be taught at Macedonian schools.
Noting that Macedonia fulfilled important reforms, Gul said that Turkey supports Macedonia`s NATO and EU processes.
Stating that they discussed regional issues during their meetings, Gul said that all Balkan countries as well as Macedonia show interest towards the future of Kosovo.
