BUDAPEST - Turkish State Minister and Chief Negotiator for EU talks Ali Babacan has leaved Hungary for Turkey on Wednesday.
Babacan told A.A following his talks in Hungary that Turkey gained value after its EU perspective.
Upon a question on the selling of Istanbul Electricity, Tunnel & Trolley Authority`s (IETT) bus terminal plot of 46,241 square meters in Levent district of Istanbul for 705 million USD (1 USD=1.40 YTL), Babacan said "recent reform process, macro economic policies carried out in Turkey and its EU perspective caused an increase in value of our country. These amounts should not surprise anybody. Turkey is progressing on its way to become a developed country."
Earlier today, international investment company Sama Dubai offered 705 million USD and won the public auction to buy the IETT`s bus terminal plot from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
