Babacan Addresses Conference In Budapest

BUDAPEST - Turkish State Minister & chief negotiator for EU talks Ali Babacan addressed a conference on Wednesday on Turkey`s EU candidacy and developments pertaining to the Copenhagen criteria.
Taking the floor during the conference held at Central European University, Babacan gave information to the audience about the developments Turkey has recorded in the past few years and the Copenhagen criteria.
Babacan and an accompanying delegation later visited Hungarian Parliament and attended a joint session of Hungarian foreign affairs and European affairs committees.
Babacan is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Kinga Goncz following a lunch to be hosted in his honor.
