ANKARA - Turkish FM Abdullah Gul denied today the allegations that PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan used the expression "Mr." for Abdullah Ocalan, the head of the terrorist organization, PKK.
Before leaving for Macedonia for a 24-hour working trip, Gul said, "they (opposition parties) resort to such things since the presidential election is getting closer."
"We are ready for such inaccurate claims," he stated when commenting on Republican People`s Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal`s remarks that "Erdogan used the title of `Mr.` for Ocalan, and he has proofs in hand".
"They are not accurate. Unfortunately they are doing it to exploit the process," Gul commented on the claims that there are some voice records posted on the internet regarding this matter.
