ANKARA - Banks' credit volume increased 525.3 trillion Turkish liras (TL) to 57 quadrillion 695.6 trillion TL between December 26, 2003 and January 2, 2004.
The total credit volume at banks was 57 quadrillion 170.3 trillion TL on December 26, 2003.
The credits given to financial sector were composed of 898.7 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 1 quadrillion 654.8 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
The credits given to non-financial sector were composed of 166 trillion TL of loans given by Central Bank, 50 quadrillion 415.4 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 4 quadrillion 560.7 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
