ANKARA - The fifth meeting of neighboring countries of Iraq will be held in Kuwait in February of 2004 under rebuilding process of Iraq.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Thursday that Kuwait had sent an official invitation to Turkey for the meeting envisaged to be held on February 8.
Kuwaiti Ambassador to Turkey Khalaf Abbas Khalaf Al-Fodari conveyed the invitation during his farewell visit to Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul.
Gul responded the invitation in the affirmative.
Previously, foreign ministers of Turkey, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan and Egypt came together in Istanbul, Riyadh, Tehran and Damascus.
During the meeting in Damascus, Iraq was officially invited to attend the meeting. However, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari appointed by the United States, did not attend the meeting.
Zebari is expected to attend the meeting in Kuwait to inform the participants on recent developments in Iraq.
