U.N. Fellowships To Young Journalists

ANKARA - United Nations (UN) is offering fellowships to young journalists, giving them the opportunity to work in New York City for 10 weeks.
The fellowship program, offered by "The Dag Hammarskjold Scholarship Fund for Journalists", will accept applications from professional radio, television and print journalists who are interested in travelling to New York to report on international affairs during the 62nd Session of the UN General Assembly which begins in September.
A total of four fellows, aged between 25 and 35, will be selected for the program which will cover travel, accommodations and per diem expenses.
The application deadline for the fellowship program is April 17th.

-DAG HAMMARSKJOLD SCHOLARSHIP FUND-
2007 is the 46th year "The Dag Hammarskjold Scholarship Fund" has sponsored this fellowship program which was established to honor the second Secretary-General of the United Nations.
The Fund has awarded fellowships to more than 170 journalists from nearly 80 countries, over the last four decades. In 2006, the Fund awarded fellowships to young journalists from Afghanistan, Brazil, India and Nigeria.
