STRASBOURG - "Turkey`s European Union (EU) membership process is closely observed throughout the world," said Ali Babacan, Turkish State Minister and Chief Negotiator for EU talks, on Wednesday.
Babacan held a press briefing after his talks at the European Parliament today.
"Turkey`s EU process is closely watched by countries stretching from Morocco to Indonesia, and Ukraine to Sudan," told Babacan.
"Turkey went through a period of change in the past four years from an economic and political perspective. Our government will make public a seven year plan in relations with the EU in April, 2007," noted Babacan.
Ali Babacan will meet Joost Lagendijk, Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Commission Co-chairman, on Thursday.
