Conference And Concert In Turkish Embassy In Moscow

MOSCOW - Renowned Turkish pianist Gulsun Onay gave a concert, and a conference on "Women in Social Life, Science & Art" was held within the scope of series of activities Turkish Embassy in Moscow holds on the occasion of March 8th Women`s Day.
Besides the conference and the concert, a photo exhibition of world-famous Turkish women, took place in Russian Foreign Ministry Culture Center.
Samples from traditional marbling, national clothing, and different handicrafts were also on the display.
Taking the floor at the conference on "Women in Social Life, Science & Art", Turkish Middle East Technical University (METU) lecturer Prof. Feride Acar informed the audience about the role assumed by women to defend human rights, higher education and Islamist movement.
