ADANA - Brisith Ambassador to Turkey Nicholas Baird said Wednesday he hopes more than 2 million British tourists would visit Turkey this year, the third popular destination for Britons after France and Spain.
While paying a visit to Ismail Korkmaz, governor of southern city of Adana, Baird said Turkey is still an attractive country for his people.
Underscoring Turkey`s natural beauties, multitude of historical richness and coastal tourism, Baird said Turkey`s winter and adventure tourism was also discovered in recent years.
Stating that Ceyhan town of Adana has become an important hub for oil transportation thanks to Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, Baird said some other pipelines can be built in Turkey besides BTC.
