ISTANBUL - Turkish police confiscated 309.4 kilograms of heroin in separate operations staged in northwestern city of Bursa and metropolis of Istanbul, the Narcotics Department announced today.
According to a statement by the department, 28.9 kilograms of hashish, 3.1 kilograms of cocaine, and 11,034 illicit pills were also seized in the operations.
Police detained 259 people, including 16 foreigners, in connection with illicit drug trafficking.
