ANKARA - Turkey`s industrial output rose by 5.8 percent in the 4th period of 2006 (covering October-November-December) when compared with the same period of 2005.
According to the Industrial Production Index of the Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) including 4th period of 2006, production by manufacturing industry grew 6 percent, and generation by gas, electricity and water industry climbed by 8.8 percent.
The production dropped by 4.6 percent in mining industry.
