Border Crossing Can Be Opened By Consent Of Two Sides, Talat

LEFKOSA - "If a border crossing is to be opened, this can be done under a plan by the two parties (Turkish & Greek Cypriot sides)," said President Mehmet Ali Talat of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
"We do not have such a decision," he noted when commenting on the Greek Cypriot decision to launch initiatives tomorrow to open a border pass in Yesilirmak.
Talat added, "we would like to open the Lokmaci gate. First they should stop putting preconditions before opening this border pass, and then we will open it. After that, we can discuss whether or not to open another border crossing."
