ISTANBUL - TRNC President Rauf Denktas came to Istanbul on Saturday evening.
Speaking to reporters at Gecitkale Airport of TRNC before leaving for Istanbul, Denktas said that he was going to Istanbul upon the invitation of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Noting that the studies carried out in Ankara about Cyprus issue continued, Denktas said ''there is a study which is carried out and which will be transferred to National Security Council. I can't say anything before seeing that study. After meeting with Mr. Prime Minister, I can give information if necessary.''
Denktas stated that he expected to exchange views with Mr. Prime Minister about the recent situation and formation of the government in TRNC, rather than Cyprus negotiations.
Denktas added that he would return to TRNC on Sunday evening or Monday morning.
