Iran sanctions having impact, must be toughened: Israeli FM

WASHINGTON - Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said here Monday that UN sanctions on Iran were having an impact, and urged that they be "strengthened and extended without delay."
"The international community must not close its eyes" to the threat posed by Iran, Livni told a meeting of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee during a visit to Washington.
