ANKARA - German Defense Minister Franz Josef Jung will pay a visit to Turkey to hold several meetings, it was reported on Monday.
According to a statement released by German Embassy in Ankara, Jung is planned to be in Ankara this evening and start his meetings on Tuesday.
Jung is scheduled to meet Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul and Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul.
Security, defense, NATO, military matters, cooperation in military operations as well as developments in Turkish and German defense industry are expected to be discussed at the meetings.
The German minister is also expected to have a brief meeting with journalists.
The statement said Jung will also give information about the results of the informal EU defense ministers' meeting held in Wiesbaden.
