ALBANIAN "APO" TROUBLE IN ANKARA
The Supreme Court of Appeals has quashed a court decision on extradition of Albania's socialist leader Shkurti, Albania's "Apo", (head of terrorist organization PKK) who was arrested in Ankara. Decision is expected to cause trouble during Turkish PM Erdogan's visit to Albania on March 14th. Albania, earlier, cancelled the tender of Albtelekom, a contract of 120 million euro, obtained by Turkish Calik group. Albania stipulated Shkurti's extradition to re-award the contract.

YOUTUBE BLOCKS INSULT TO ATATURK
Youtube executives, who increased controls after videos caused the suspension of access to video sharing site, have found a new video that shows Ataturk and "gay cowboys" in the same picture and immediately removed the video. The video was watched by only 39 people. Youtube also removed another video yesterday, which had insult for Turkish flag.

NATIONALISM ASCENDS
Citizens say nationalism increases in Turkey, and there is an increase in their national feelings. Erdogan is considered the leader that answers this feeling in the best way.
The research carried out by A&G research company for the Milliyet daily has dramatic outcomes. The research was carried out in households in seven regions, with face to face interviews with 2,396 people.
21.2 percent of people say nationalism has increased in the recent periods. The people who say "my nationalist feelings has increased" are 29.4 percent in Aegean region, 25.7 percent in Black Sea region, 24.7 percent in Mediterranean, 23.6 percent in Central Anatolia, 23.5 percent in Marmara, 23.3 percent in Eastern Anatolia, and 8.8 percent in Southeast.
Why is nationalism increasing? EU's exclusive attitude (33.8 percent), Turkey's incapability in foreign affairs (23.6 percent), some groups that demand things with the support of the USA and EU are the reasons of recent rise in nationalism.

"SPECIAL SECURITY" ADVICE TO PATRIARCH
Turkish Armenians Patriarch Mesrob II applied to Istanbul governorship after assassination of Hrant Dink and asked for measures to be taken in the schools that belong to the religious community. On February 20th, a letter from Istanbul Police, signed by governor (Muammer) Guler arrived. The letter said the security forces will frequently inspect the mentioned institutions. The letter also referred to article no. 5188 which allows individuals and institutions to establish special armed forces. It said, "I ask you to take the necessary measures on the basis of article no 5188."

WE DON'T HAVE THE LUXURY TO LOSE TURKEY
Robert Wexler, U.S. House of Representatives Congressman & Co-Chairman of the Congressional Turkey Caucus & the Congressional Study Group on Turkey, said that logistic support for U.S. soldiers in Iraq is provided by Turkey, adding that the United States needs support of Turkey more than ever and it does not have the luxury to lose Turkey.

ASGHARI INTERROGATED IN GERMANY
It was revealed that former deputy defense minister Ali Reza Asghari of Iran, who went missing after checking into an Istanbul hotel on February 7th, was kidnapped by MOSSAD agents and interrogated at NATO headquarters in Germany.

TURKEY TO PURCHASE ZEPPELINS
Turkey will purchase two zeppelins from the United States to watch infiltration of PKK terrorists. The zeppelins will be used in the eastern and southeastern parts of Turkey.

SOCCER TERROR IN CAPITAL
The Turkish capital city of Ankara has become scene of soccer terror during a Turkcell super league match between Besiktas and Ankaragucu clubs. Supporters of the two clubs fought with each other. Security forces used teargas and opened fire in the air to disperse them. 108 people were detained.

DON'T TRUST IN UNITED STATES THAT MUCH
Michael Rubin, an expert on Iraq issue, said that Iraqi Kurds cannot comprehend how much determined Turkey is. He criticised the United States as it encourages Kurds. Rubin noted that Barzani exaggerates the meaning of U.S. sympathy. Rubin said that the United States, even it does not approve, will show understanding towards Turkey's launching an operation in the north of Iraq.

DANGER HAS THREE DIMENSIONS
According to the recent report of security units on Southeast Anatolia, three separatist movements -- which are Kurdish-Islamic, PKK Kurdism and Barzani Kurdism -- are rising in the Southeastern Anatolia region. The weakest of these movements is Barzani Kurdism, but it is also the fastest rising one.

CHILDREN SPEAK, MPs SHOCKED
Research on "drugs and violence": finding drugs is piece of cake! Juvenile offenders and deprived children are together in the same child protection house. Escape for little snatch-and-run thieves held by gangs is too difficult.
A parliamentary commission on investigation for violence in schools toured Antalya, Izmir and Diyarbakir. Teenagers told how they first met drugs. "Is it hard to find?" asked MPs. Answer was "they do not give it to you but we can have it easily." Addresses, given by teens, have immediately been transmitted to police.

Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who inaugurated two hotels built by foreign capital in Istanbul, said, "even these two recent investments show the progress which Turkey has recorded in the last four years. Foreign capital, which sees stability, peace and confidence milieu, is coming to Turkey to make investment without hesitation. Because they see a stable future, not uncertainty."

DON'T ANNOY TURKS
U.S. expert on Iraq issue Michael Rubin said that Barzani is obviously supporting PKK and giving the weapons which he took from the United States to PKK. Rubin noted that Barzani cannot comprehend how much Turks are uneasy about the situation and also determined. He added that if Turks decide to launch a cross-border operation, they do not listen anybody.

REASONED VERDICT FOR SEMDINLI CASE
The High Criminal Court in the eastern city of Van, which sentenced two noncommissioned officers and an informant to 39 years to prison in the lawsuit known as "Semdinli case", has indicated in its reasoned verdict, "noncommissioned officials cannot stage such actions without involvement of high-ranking military officials."
