ANKARA - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank increased by 182 million U.S. dollars between December 26, 2003 and January 2, 2004.
According to the Central Bank's weekly bulletin, the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves which were 33 billion 639 million U.S. dollars on December 26, 2003 increased to 33 billion 821 million U.S. dollars on January 2, 2004.
Total foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations decreased 284 million U.S. dollars from 14 billion 849 million U.S. dollars to 14 billion 565 million U.S. dollars between December 12 and 19.
The international reserves of Turkey comprising gold reserves and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations decreased 5 million U.S. dollars from 48 billion 60 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 55 million U.S. dollars between December 12 and 19, 2003.
