ANKARA - Banks' credit volume increased 1 quadrillion 83.7 trillion Turkish liras (TL) to 57 quadrillion 170.3 trillion TL between December 19-26, 2003.
The total credit volume at banks was 56 quadrillion 86.6 trillion TL on December 19.
The credits given to financial sector were composed of 869.7 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 1 quadrillion 700.7 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
The credits given to non-financial sector were composed of 168.3 trillion TL of loans given by Central Bank, 49 quadrillion 877.7 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 4 quadrillion 553.8 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
