BURSA - Automotive sector made 62.7 percent of total exports to fifteen European Union (EU) member countries in 2003, reaching an income of 4.5 billion dollars of the total revenues of 7.1 billion dollars.
According to Uludag Exporters' Associations data, Turkish automotive sector made exportation to 174 countries and autonomous regions and 14 free zones, getting a total of 7 billion 191 million 25 thousand dollars of income including 4 billion 507 million 649 thousand dollars from EU countries.
Total exports to Germany, France, Italy, England and Spain reached 3 billion 601 million 540 thousand dollars and they were followed by Belgium, Ireland, Holland, Austria, Sweden, Greece, Finland, Denmark, Portugal and Luxembourg.
Total exports to Bulgaria, Poland, Latvia, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Malta, Czech Republic and Estonia was 600 million 536 thousand dollars.
