PARIS - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) deputy leader Murat Mercan will prepare a report on ''Fight Against Terrorism in Democratic Countries'' to present to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (COEPA).
The report of Mercan, who is also Chairman of Turkish Group in COEPA, will be approved during general assembly meetings to be held in Strasbourg in the end of January.
Mercan told A.A correspondent that terrorism was a global threat and added that a global cooperation and solidarity was necessary against this threat.
Noting that terrorism did not have religion, ethnical group, color and race, Mercan said that nobody was exempted from this threat.
Mercan said that he would demand the Council to prepare a new and comprehensive European convention on fight against terrorism in his report.
