CANAKKALE - An Antiguan-flagged cargo ship adrift at the Canakkale strait after suffering engine breakdown.
Sources said on Wednesday that 5,996 gross-ton 'Humus' which was carrying containers from Italy to Istanbul's Haydarpasa port suffered engine failure after entering the Canakkale strait and started to adrift.
When the captain called for help, a tugboat of the Coast Security and Vessel Rescue pulled the ship to the Karanlik port, sources said.
Officials said the ship would be allowed to continue its sail after repair the engine failure.
