LEFKOSA - A delegation comprising members from Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce and Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry left for South Korea on Sunday upon an invitation from South Korean Chamber of Trade & Industry.
According to a statement released by Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, the visit aims at boosting relations with the third countries, explaining facts about Cyprus, and improving economic relations.
A cooperation protocol is expected to be signed with South Korean Chamber of Trade & Industry during the visit.
Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce President Erdil Nami said this would be the first time they would be signing cooperation protocol with the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of a country apart from Turkey.
Nami said a seminar would be held on "Business Climate in TRNC" in Seoul on March 6th, 2007, "I will give information to the Korean businessmen on facts about Cyprus, on TRNC economy, tourism, education, construction, industry and investment areas," he noted.
The delegation is expected to return to TRNC on March 10th.
A delegation from South Korean Chamber of Commerce & Industry had visited TRNC between December 19th-21st, 2006 upon an invitation from Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.
