ANKARA/BEIJING - Turkey, whose local manufacturers are trying to compete with "Chinese products", managed to enter the Chinese market with its rich borium potential.
Eti Mine Works General Manager Orhan Yilmaz, told the AA correspondent that there was a remarkable increase in Turkey`s borium export to China, when compared to previous years.
Yilmaz stated that the export to China, which was 9 million USD in 2002, increased nearly 13 times and reached 113 million USD recently.

-TURKISH MARBLE IN CHINA-

Meanwhile, the efforts to increase the share of Turkish marble in the Chinese market still continues.
A total of 34 Turkish firms will participate in Stonetech 2007, a natural stone and processing machines fair to be organized in Chinese capital of Beijing, within this framework.
Emine Deniz from Aegean Exporters` Union said that, their main objective was to meet the Chinese demand for 2008 Olympic Games and to expand their shares in this market.
